Company MINI declassified the new conceptual car — three-door compact crossover Paceman. This car will be presented to general public in the middle of January of next year on Detroit Motor Show. About it it's told in the official press release.

2012 MINI Paceman from a Countryman platform

The novelty is constructed on a Countryman, however the prototype overall length on 13 mm is more (4110 mm), than at MINI Countryman, and the height — on 20 mm is less (1541 mm). Besides, at Paceman similar registration of a front part of a body, including a windshield, headlights, radiator and bumper.
The crossover prototype is equipped by the 211-strong four-cylinder gasoline engine in volume of 1,6 litres which is established on tuning versions MINI by John Cooper Works studio, and system of all wheel drive All4.

According to representatives of the British manufacturer, the decision on possibility of serial release of a three-door crossover MINI for the present is not accepted. However if the general management gives to the project a "green light" on the conveyor the similar car appears in two years and, as experts assume, becomes the most expensive MINI model.

On Friday, on March, 19th, at the disposal of British magazine Car there were the first espionage photos of updated hatchback MINI Cooper made during tests of this car. On preliminary data, restyling the car will be declassified in August of current year, and the world premiere will take place in the autumn on a motor show in Paris.

New hatchback MINI Cooper

Judging by the pictures, updated MINI Cooper will receive other forward bumper with the changed air inlet and the new registration, new back lanterns and little bit changed back bumper. The hatchback interior also will undergo to small modernisation. The salon will be issued in style of crossover Countryman, whose premiere has taken place in March on a motor show in Geneva.

It is expected, that the scale of engines of a hatchback will not change, however subsequently in a ruler new units and hybrid power-plants will be added. According to magazine Car sources, hybrid updatings which for 10-15 percent will be more economic petrol, it is necessary to wait only for MINI for following generation. In the European market completely new "Coopers" will appear in 2013.

On Wednesday, on January, 20th, company MINI has extended the official information and photos of crossover Countryman which will be presented general public in the beginning of March of this year at the international automobile exhibition in Geneva. MINI One D Countryman

In the European market the novelty begins to be offered with three petrol and two diesel engines power from 90 (in version MINI One D Countryman) to 184HP (for updating "S") which can work together with a 6-step mechanical transmission. To petrol motors as an option also it will be accessible 6-step automatic transmission Steptronic.

In January of the next year company MINI will present on the international motor show in Detroit the conceptual crossover Beachcomber created on the basis of the first off-road car of mark under name Countryman. MINI Beachcomber by MINI Moke

The novelty is created as modern interpretation of the last century of car MINI Moke issued in the sixties, however unlike this car the modern concept car will be hardly started in a batch production. Crossover Beachcomber is created for the purpose of demonstration of how model Countryman what will be the sizes of a body and the general structure of salon will look. The dimensional length of a prototype makes 4070 mm, and the wheel base is equal to 2606 mm, that on 135 and 59 mm accordingly more than at five-door car MINI Clubman.

Novelty as well as serial crossover Countryman, it is equipped by new system of full drive All4 which has been specially developed for compact cars. In the future concern BMW owning mark MINI, is intended to use such transmission and on other cars. The ruler of engines Countryman will be precisely same, as well as hatchbacks, including a new bee-turbo motor in volume of 1,6 litres which begins to be offered for serial updating.

MINI Countryman 2010

It is expected, that at European dealers MINI Countryman will appear in September, 2010. The car will be issued in Austria at company Magna enterprise.
